Rain Stops USAC’s Terre Haute Round
by NSSN Staff
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Heavy rains from tropical storm Isaac have reached Terre Haute, Ind. forcing postponement of Saturday’s (Saturday) AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Race at the Terre Haute Action Track. The “Jim Hurtubise Classic” has been rescheduled for Oct. 12.
The rescheduling sets up a USAC “doubleheader” weekend at the half-mile dirt oval, with the “Sumar Classic 100” Traxxas Silver Crown race scheduled on Saturday night, Oct. 13.
The postponement is the second of the weekend, following closely yesterday morning’s postponement of Friday night’s AMSOIL National Sprint race at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach. That race will occur in October on a date yet to be announced.
