3:56 p.m. – We spoke with Tim McCreadie, who is racing both a late-model and a big-block modified this weekend, a little earlier today down in the late-model pits to see what he had for tonight. This is what he had to say:

“The modified is good. I think we need just a little bit more to be maneuverable where we can pass. It was kind of top dominant last night. We were fast in both heats with that. The late-model is better, better than it was last year. It is close. I loose a little bit of right-rear stick as the track changes, which I’ve been trying to work on most of the year and we’ve been getting better with. There is no reason why we can’t get both cars up front. One is right up front already and the other one is close. Just a matter of what we can do and make the right decisions and have a good night.”

3:45 p.m. – Craig Dollansky will be sporting different colors tonight. When we arrived at The Dirt Track today a little after 2 p.m. his crew was finishing up the changeover on his No. 7 entry. Check it out below. UPDATE: We hear he switches paint schemes on the car fairly often depending on the location of the race. So turns out this isn’t so new!

3:40 p.m. – During the drivers meeting for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series they announced that DIRTcar officials would be trying something a little different tonight. Following conclusion of the sprint-car B feature, officials will line up cars from all three divisions four a special four-wide salute to the fans. As best we can tell, such a thing has never been done before with all three divisions on track at the same time. That’ll make for one amazing picture!

Hot laps are scheduled to start at 4 p.m., beginning with the Super DIRTcar Series big-block modifieds.

3:35 p.m. - Associate Editor Adam Fenwick here once again at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for night two of the PEAK Motor Oil World Finals. I just got done walking the pit area and talking to a handful of drivers. I’ll share what I’ve learned here shortly. Bare with me as I’ve got quite a few things to go through!
