ARCA/CRA Targets Historic Winchester
SALEM, Ind. – The ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS will head to the famous high banks of Winchester Speedway this Saturday for the Winchester 100 at the challenging half mile owned by local Randolph County businessman Charlie Shaw.
Saturday’s CRA event will be a part of a full weekend of ARCA sanctioned racing at Winchester that will include racing action from the ARCA Truck Series on Saturday night. The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will practice and qualify on Saturday and will compete in the Herr’s Chase the Taste 200 on Sunday afternoon.
Saturday’s event will be the 37th ARCA/CRA Super Series race that Winchester Speedway has hosted since the series inaugural 1997 season. Three-time and defending ARCA/CRA Super Series champion Johnny Van Doorn is now the series all-time winner at Winchester Speedway with four wins, two of which came last season.
Three-time series champion Scott Hantz is tied with former two-time series champion Brian Ross and Bull Baker for second most wins with three each. Hantz is the only one of that group who is entered for Saturday night’s event. Rick Turner is the only other former series Winchester winner who is entered.
