KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Kyle Busch held off a determined Johnny VanDoorn to win Wednesday’s ARCA/CRA Super Series 100-lap feature at Kalamazoo Speedway.

Busch took the lead from VanDoorn on lap 52 and led the rest of the way, but not without multiple challenges from the resilient VanDoorn. VanDoorn was able to peak his nose in under Busch’s entry several times, but he could never quite complete the pass.

In the end VanDoorn had to settle for second. Travis Braden was third, followed by Ross Kenseth and Chad Finley.

“These ARCA/CRA Super Series races are so much fun to run, it was another great crowd and (Johnny) VanDoorn gave us a run for our money tonight,” Busch said. “It was cool to have Rheem on board here in Kalamazoo, considering this is where their home office originated back in the 70’s. I can’t thank all the guys at KBM for giving me another fast Camry and everyone at KBM Chassis for building such a great piece that we’ve been able to win a lot of races with the last couple years.”

The victory was Busch’s second with the ARCA/CRA Super Series this season. He also won at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Ind., in July.

The finish:

Kyle Busch, Johnny VanDoorn, Travis Braden, Ross Kenseth, Chad Finley, Alec Carll, Todd Gilliland, Wes Griffith Jr., Joe Busch, Ali Kern, David Ragan, Jay Niewiek, Nick Gullatta, Rick Turner, Jordan Sims, Paul Shafer Jr., T.K. Whitman, Justin Claucherty, Dave Lake, Thomas Woodin, Steve Dorer, Chris Koslek, Brandon Hermiller, Terry VanHaitsma.
