16 Events For ARCA/CRA Super Series

SALEM, Ind. — Champion Racing Ass’n released its 2014 schedules for the two premier tours within CRA — the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance.

The ARCA/CRA Super Series will feature 16 events with 14 of those shows counting towards the 2014 championship while the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will boast 15 total races with 13 counting towards the 2014 title.

“We are really excited about the 2014 schedules for both the ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour,” said Glenn Luckett, managing partner of CRA. “We have a great mix of events on both series schedules that will challenge our drivers throughout the season and provide some great racing for our fans.”

The 2014 racing season kicks off with the traditional non-points door openers for both ARCA/CRA and JEGS/CRA; SpeedFest 2014 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Ga., Jan. 25-26.

The official season opener comes April 12 at Toledo Speedway with the running of the Border Wars 150. This event also serves as the first of two combination races with their counterparts from the ARCA Midwest Tour.

From there, the premier super late models tour in the country will head to Anderson (Ind.) Speedway April 26 for the first of two appearances at the historic quarter-mile and 55th overall in the Super Series’ 18-year history, the most of any track on the schedule.
Then the tour will take a month off before coming back with the second and final combination race with the ARCA Midwest Tour on Memorial Day May 26 at Illiana Motor Speedway for the highly anticipated second Border Wars 150.

Just five days later, Berlin Raceway in Michigan hosts the series for the first of two shows May 31 before returning to Anderson Speedway June 14 for the prestigious Redbud 300. Then after taking two years off, Columbus Motor Speedway returns to the ARCA/CRA schedule June 28.

The second annual Battle at Berlin 251 moves to July in 2014 with the date set for July 19. Then just six days later on July 25, the ARCA/CRA Super Series joins the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards at the immaculate Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.
One of the most anticipated dates on the 2014 schedule is the return trip, for the first time since 2006 to Kalamazoo (Mich.) Speedway Aug. 13.

Just three days later, the series travels East across the Great Lakes State to make their now yearly appearance at the fast quarter-mile of Flat Rock Speedway Aug. 16.

Winchester (Ind.) Speedway hosts the series Aug. 31-Sept. 1.

The uniquely shaped Kil-Kare Speedway in Ohio returns to the schedule with a special Sunday afternoon show Sept. 14 before taking a week off to prepare for the popular Fall Brawl 2014 back at Lucas Oil Raceway Sept. 27-28.

One of the most prestigious races in the country and one of the four ‘majors’ on the calendar for template bodied super late models is the 43rd running of the Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway Oct. 10-12.

Finally the ARCA/CRA Super Series will be a part of the 30th edition of the All-American 400 Weekend in a non-points role with their counterparts within the Southern Super Series Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour kicks off May 4 at Springport Motor Speedway and wraps up its season Oct. 10 at Winchester Speedway.
