ACT Finale Postponed Until Sunday
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Rent-A-Wreck Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Speedway scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to rain and will be run on Sunday.
The race, which is the final event of the 2012 American-Canadian Tour late-model season, will have a post time of 1 p.m.
The duel between Wayne Helliwell, Jr. and Brian Hoar will have to wait another day, but will resume on Sunday to settle the American Canadian Tour Championship. Helliwell, who currently leads Hoar by eight points, is looking to claim his first ACT Championship, while Hoar tries to earn an unprecedented ninth.
Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., who won last year’s event, will try to repeat the feat, but he will face challenges from Austin Theriault, Brent Dragon, Randy Potter, as well as 7-time American-Canadian Tour Champion Jean Paul Cyr.
Airborne Speedway Renegades and 602 Modifieds will also be on the card, battling it out with 30 lap features for money and glory with their championship point battles already wrapped up.
