O’Sullivan Honored As GSPS Champion
MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Granite State Pro Stock Series celebrated an illustrious 2013 season on Dec. 27 at the Best Western Plus Conference Center.
The top 10 drivers in the championship standings were honored for their successful seasons as 65 drivers attempted to qualify for the 11 races held by the Granite State Pro Stock Series in 2013. Mike O’Sullivan topped the field for the year, claiming the championship in the series’ sophomore season. Larry Gelinas picked up the win at the final race of the year to secure his runner-up spot in the final standings, with Jeremy Davis taking third overall. O’Sullivan credited his success to his family and crew, citing dedication and support as reasons for his consistent success.
Many special awards were handed out on the night. The Hard Luck Award was given to Mike Rivard. Receiving the Jack’s Competition Engines/AR Bodies Rookie of the Year Award was Tom O’Sullivan, brother to the champion Mike O’Sullivan. The O’Sullivan family also collected another award as Mike received the Ricky’s Real Racer Award.
